Although he made Satsumanishiki copy out by hands etc. at the beginning,@he
invited a person who learned the technique even if it's not directly
to his studio and made full use of the technology of them as the
author of Kyoto ceramic ware was influenced with German Dr. Wagner's
western glaze and calcinations technique.
The work which established the style of splendid and delicate Kyoto
ceramic ware was widely exported also to overseas, and came to raise
evaluation. He passed away at the age of 82 in 1940 (Showa 15). |
